Coach Marvin Speaks Sr. established the Catawba Valley Stars in 1983 with a mission to develop collegiate baseball talent and provide players with opportunities to advance their careers. Under his leadership, the Stars have become a respected program known for fostering growth both on and off the field. Throughout his tenure, Coach Speaks has mentored numerous athletes, many of whom have progressed to professional baseball or coaching roles.
In addition to his work with the Stars, Coach Speaks has served as the general manager of the White Sands Pupfish in the independent Pecos League, demonstrating his commitment to player development at various levels of the game.
